WHAT IS THE “LEAD PROCESS?”

North Texas LEAD’s “3-step” process provides professional job seekers with invaluable career development and networking opportunities.

1) The Candidate Briefing

Open to all applicants, this monthly, one-hour information session introduces attendees to LEAD’s unique organization. Participants receive job search tips and interview training. Top applicants are selected to move forward to the Behavioral Interview.

2) Behavioral Interview

Selected applicants interview with a panel composed of three to four LEAD employer representatives. The interview is not for a specific job but is to assess the applicant’s overall qualifications, interviewing skill and fit for LEAD employer openings. Panelists provide applicants feedback, coaching and encouragement toward their next career opportunity.

3) Endorsement

Applicants who are deemed exceptionally qualified by LEAD’s interview panel earn the distinction of becoming an “endorsed” LEAD Candidates. LEAD endorsement benefits include:

  • Invitations to exclusive networking events attended by LEAD employer executives and Human Resources leaders.
  • LEAD staff recommendations supporting your application for LEAD employer partner openings.
  • Access to pro bono mentoring, job coaching and career development through LEAD’s professional network.
