More than 100 people attended the launch of LEAD’s Distinguished Lecture Series.  LEAD staff took suggestions from successful candidates and packaged those specific ideas into the series.  “The idea of hearing from the actual policy makers who guide the hiring process was quite powerful,” according to Gyna M. Bivens, LEAD’s President and Executive Director.  The audience for this professional development lecture included Vice Presidents of some of LEAD’s biggest employers.   HR Vice Presidents who shared their insight into the hiring process was:  Riz Chand (BNSF Railway); Ricardo Coronado (Tarrant County College District) and Thomas Dallam (DFW International Airport).  Ken Reeves, VP HR Fort Worth Metropolitan YMCA was the keynote speaker and joined the panelists as well.  Fort Worth Star Telegram Bob Ray Sanders moderated the panel.
