Freese and Nichols, Inc. is currently searching for an Oil and Gas Engineer in our Dallas or Houston office. The preferred candidate will be a Seller/Doer and manage Midstream, Pipeline, Petrochem, and Facility projects. The preferred candidate will attend planning meetings, presentations, and contribute to the preparation of proposals. Using a seller/doer model, the ideal candidate would lead bids for new work as the bid manager and if successful in winning the work, would then deliver the project as the project manager and/or lead engineer. The candidate will also be responsible for the daily administration of project and/or company policies and processes in order for the projects team to meet business objectives. Knowledgeable with Regulatory codes & design standards. This individual will set expectations & manage teams time, and be able to manage multiple projects, have a technical depth and breadth that understand the client/project and keep the team on track and executing the work. Preferred candidates will also direct coordination with clients and other external entities. May initiate or assist in prime contract negotiations or preparation and leads all subcontract definition, award and management of execution.
 
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education. Minimum 10 years related experience in the midstream/refining/petrochemical industry, including 5 or more years managing projects. Must have the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industries, government and public contracts on project-related matters. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional Registration preferred.
