Job Description
American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to perform the following duties: Responsibility for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Install new and rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Design, review, analyze, develop, implement, and maintain complex software applications and services. Maintain 787 LSAP Librarian, deploy bug fixes and feature enhancements. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutions. Develop and maintain installation and configuration documents. Research and recommend innovative work and automated approaches for system administrative tasks. Develop and maintain system and application documentation with regard to troubleshooting, maintenance, start/stop, and logging. Create, maintain, and own infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and schedules. Conduct technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with the infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to security policies and organizational values. Research and implement new technologies and patch sets to enhance current processes, security, and performance. Work with software architects to ensure decisions meet long term enterprise growth needs. Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale. Communicate infrastructure needs and interests to project teams and create strong relationships across departments.
Job Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, management information systems, engineering, technology, or related field, plus 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure & application and demonstrated experience in each of the following: Boeing LSAP Librarian/proxy administration; Boeing 787 EAFR Data flow; GBST administration and the following plugins, ACMF, ACMFC, APSL, CMCF, CBCF, CMFC, CISSC, ECL, FMF, OAS & SC; CSCT for aircraft part signing & certificate update; X509/PKI certificates and authentication models; MySQL & Ingress database; Jboss application server; AIRCRAFT/GROUND IP COMMUNICATION (ARINC standard 822); Teledyne GroundLink® Comm System. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience will be accepted in the alternative.
