Position Overview
 
Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport has a strong commitment to our industry, our customers, our employees and the communities we serve. As the Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and refining programs and projects that help the Airport demonstrate a visible, meaningful presence in our region and across our industry. Several new programs have been built, and we need the right person to deliver maximum impact by leveraging employee volunteers, regional leadership programs, board service initiatives, and relationships with regional and minority chambers of commerce and dedicated community organizations.
 
DFW recently issued its first Environmental, Social and Governance Report (ESG), highlighting many of these outstanding programs for our Owner Cities, Board members and business partners. You will lead the evolution of the ESG to tell new stories about the Airport’s commitment to sustainability, diversity and stewardship of resources by providing strategic vision and counsel for multiple departments that deliver best-in-class results on an annual basis.
 
What we will ask of you:
  • Lead the Airport’s efforts to achieve the Key Results for Community Engagement, ensuring all programs are aligned with the Airport’s comprehensive Strategic Plan.
  • Strengthen DFW Airport’s public positioning, protecting the image and reputation of the Airport, and generating advocacy and recognition for the Airport.
  • Develop and implement DFW’s Community Engagement strategy programs and initiatives to drive positive perception, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Broaden and enhance stakeholder advocacy in support of the Airport through programs such as Experience DFW.
  • Drive positive community impact through employee community involvement. Direct and support the DFW CARES Volunteer Council. Develop and implement training programs for employees to serve on community boards of directors.
  • Manage relationships with community and professional organizations such as ethnic and majority chambers, advocacy groups, convention and visitors’ bureaus, industry associations and business organizations that build support for DFW initiatives and future direction.
  • Provide direction and lead the development of the Airport’s annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report.
  • Represent DFW Airport in the community at social and civic functions, which include events that take place before and after work hours and on weekends.
  • Create, plan and prioritize tours of the Airport, tailored for groups, including stakeholders, business partners, civic leaders and community members
  • Establish, monitor and assess appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the impact of DFW’s Community Engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Manage and initiate programs that demonstrate DFW’s corporate social responsibility.
  • Develop budgets for activities and track expenditures to ensure available resources are used efficiently and effectively.
