Corporate Audit Services (CAS) provides independent, objective assurance, risk identification and mitigation, and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the BNSF community. Our auditors have the opportunity to work across the company on a range of topics of significance and can expect to interact with various leaders including senior leaders at BNSF.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a Staff Auditor position responsible for execution of analysis and testing as part of Information Technology, Revenue/Finance, and Operations audits. 
•Manage work assignments and timelines.
•Develop detailed test procedures that address audit objectives and significant risks.
•Interpret and evaluate audit evidence.
•Document work performed with logical conclusions and the appropriate audit evidence and support.
•Analyze observations for residual risk and assess impact to strategic objectives.
•Present audit results, both in written and verbal formats.
•Track issues raised and ensure action plans are implemented.
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or other business discipline.
•Two years of audit, information technology, finance, accounting, risk management, or related experience.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
•Skill in delivering projects on-time/on-budget.
•Ability to document work performed in a clear and succinct manner that is sufficiently supported by audit evidence.
•Ability to analyze observations for root cause and draw conclusions.
•Ability to evaluate work processes and make suggestions or recommendations for improvement.
•Ability to deliver difficult messages in both verbal and written form (including: audit findings and recommendations).
•Willingness to receive constructive feedback.
