The Supply Chain Process Mgr is responsible for continuous process improvement related to the Materials Management supply chain operations for JPS Health Network.  This job also manages the capital purchase and RFP processes for the department. 
Typical Duties
1.     Prioritizes supply chain procedures for process improvement needs. Assesses existing supply chain procedures for ways to develop and improve process and cost efficiencies.  Establishes new supply chain procedures where none currently exist.  Revises current procedures to meet network needs.
2.     Manages the Materials Management Capital Coordinator and the operational responsibilities associated with the Capital request and acquisition process.
3.     Manages the RFP Coordinator and the operational responsibilities associated with the RFP process for Materials Management. Manages improvements to and creates specifications for supply related RFPs and RFBs.
4.     Manages the Buyers and the operational responsibilities and activities associated with the supply chain procurement process.
5.     Coordinates with staff of network departments to evaluate current conditions for possible supply chain process improvement.
6.     Works within Materials Management and other network departments to evaluate and develop supply chain procedures.  Obtains information needed to revise or establish procedures that will increase supply chain efficiency.
7.     Oversees the dissemination of required information and training necessary for those impacted by a new or modified supply chain procedure.
8.     Creates policy and procedures to ensure on-going supply chain improvements and efficiency.
9.     Develops and implements action plans to assist network staff that will be impacted by supply chain improvement projects.
10.   Manages supply chain productivity, cost and performance.  Assesses delivery requirements and other factors for supply chain efficiency and improvement.
11.   Works closely and pro-actively with the Director of Materials Management as a key stakeholder in the prioritization, development and implementation of the ongoing supply chain improvement efforts.
12.   Performs other related job duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field.
  • 10 plus years of healthcare Materials Management purchasing, distribution and/or supply chain experience.
  •   5 plus years of healthcare Materials Management experience in a management capacity.
