This position is with our Advanced Development Program (ADP), known as the historic Skunk Works, in Ft Worth, Texas. We are looking for world-class talent for this position to join the 70 year tradition of creating advanced aircraft. Two primary areas of responsibilities: supporting analysis of current and future LM Aeronautics combat platforms as an Operational Concepts Subject Matter Expert (SME) and acting as one of the following: F-35 simulation “Instructor Pilot”, pilot expertise during an ADP Human-In-the-Loop (HITL) event, event lead for business development and contractual events.This requires the individual to develop highly innovative Operational Concept (OpCon) and Concept of Employment (ConEmp) products in line with US Government (USG) direction for the future of air and space warfare across the mission spectrum. Shall be considered by his/her peers a SME in DoD doctrine, joint & coalition employment over the range of civil and military operations and across tactical, operational, and strategic levels. Will maintain a strong understanding of collaborative warfare as well as current and planned technologies for command and control systems, airborne networking, weapons, and sensors. Includes manned/unmanned teaming concepts that include advanced unmanned vehicles, multi-role fighters, cross-domain collaborative employment and associated battle management and automation tools. Drives advanced and innovative operational concepts to support ADP virtual and constructive operational analysis in a system of systems environment. Considered a spokesman to customer and management on operational concepts for future capabilities and combat employment, bringing together a wide range of advanced technologies. Key tasks include authoring OpCon and ConEmp documents; designing scenarios; developing presentations; leading virtual analysis events; leading internal and external meetings associated with Lockheed Martin, USG, and international customers; and informing future IRAD.Additional Note: May be required to support cockpit demonstrators, on occasion, both domestically and internationally. May involve helping with setting up and taking down the cockpit and exhibit. Minor physical labor including overhead lifting may be involved.
