Provides Project Management experience and support to the Senior Manager of Facilities Planning and Development and staff for district wide coordination of development, planning and construction activities for new capital improvement and renovation projects, from conception stage through construction and project close‐out completion.

• Manages project development functions from beginning to end; develops and manages project scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations; plans and schedules project timelines and milestones, using appropriate tools; tracks project milestone and deliverables; monitors project performance and coordinating workload through the entire process to complete projects on schedule
• Participates in evaluating and selecting architectural and engineering consultants and construction teams
• Collaborates with governmental agencies and selected project architectural and engineering firms
• Participates in the interpretation and implementation of applicable building codes for projects
• Assists in developing and coordinating for proposals (RFP), competitive sealed proposals (CSP) or request for qualifications (RFQ) for professional services and construction; addresses questions and other issues that arise during the pre‐proposal conferences and throughout the proposal process
• Reviews submittals, shop drawings and all documentation for compliance with project requirements and TCCD Design Guidelines and standards
• Assists with job cost control to achieve best cost, quality and schedule
• Establishes and maintains shop drawing/submittal log, RFI log and change order log
• Coordinates with project stakeholders and end‐users on an ongoing basis
• Coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies
• Participates in the development of RFPs, bids, contracts and proposals for construction and services; assists in negotiations and administering contracts with outside vendors, architects and others
• Reviews projects and contracts for compliance and takes appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies
• Coordinates with senior level staff in the development and incorporation of design standards, administrative procedures and educational specification standards into the program
• Acts as the liaison with construction management firms; oversees their performance and coordinates their services
• Initiates payments and correspondence related to the College’s in‐house and College managed construction projects
• Works with campus leadership, directors of facilities, legal counsel, insurance representatives, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors and federal, state and local government agencies in coordinating and insuring the quality of construction and renovation projects
• Participates in project progress meetings and/or develops/contributes to project progress reports, as required
• Prepares ongoing reports regarding design and construction projects in narrative, spreadsheet and/or presentation formats
• Assists in the preparation of progress reports on design and construction projects for Board of Trustees as required
• Reviews, processes and maintains construction project contracts
• Keeps apprised of municipal code requirements and the plans review submission process in order to obtain building permits
• Verifies and enforces contractual liability requirements set forth by the College
• Insures adherence to College specifications, policies, and procedures regarding process and reporting of design and construction activities of the College
• Creates, maintains and provides current progress reports for all ongoing projects as well as maintaining history files on previous projects
• Supports the development of the College’s annual budget and capital improvement plan
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
