Senior Manager, Warranty Administration and Vendor Audits

Job Description
 
Recoup labor and material costs for aircraft repairs/modifications covered under warranty. Audit all outsourced heavy maintenance to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review Aircraft Purchase Agreements as well as OEM Service Bulletins for all warranty opportunities; collect repair/modification costs and submit warranty claims
  • Manage expendable piece part warranty program
  • Manage review of C-Check invoices to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements
  • Assist in contract negotiations with heavy maintenance vendors, particularly on billing and warranty terms
  • Ensure compliance with all heavy maintenance contracts and all product support agreements
  • Lead warranty process for all line maintenance stations coordinating with departmental leadership
  • Negotiate settlements between the Company and heavy maintenance vendors
  • Collect costs from various parties for engine/airframe damages on behalf of Risk Management in order to submit insurance claims
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Warranty Administration team
  • Complete related tasks/projects as assigned
 
 
 
Job Qualifications
 
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent experience/training
  • At least 5 years aviation warranty and audit experience
  • At least 5 years contract negotiation experience
  • At least 3 years management experience
  • A & P License preferred or equivalent aircraft mechanic experience/training
  • Experience working with union represented employees preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical thinking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization as well as with vendors
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities
