BASIC PURPOSE
The Application Support Analyst role ensures that Service Level and System Availability targets are met while functioning as the Level II/III application support resource for interdepartmental applications and/or as onsite remote support as assigned. Responsible for resolving complex issues, documenting resolutions to enable future resolutions, interfacing with vendors/developers when resolving and reporting 3rd party system defects for defined application areas.  Ensures 3rd party application providers resolve issues in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Performs analysis on system availability trends and root causes.
This role is also responsible for implementing and supporting the workload automation processes of the Bank.  This includes installing, upgrading, configuring, maintaining and controlling the Control-M Enterprise software that supports automated batch scheduling for the organization as well as managing and supporting the overnight processing of the Control-M infrastructure.   
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES           
  • System Administration of Bank specific systems.
  • Act as IT Liaison between Bank Business Users and Bank IT/Vendor Support.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise in a core functional applications (IT business systems) and proactively suggest ways to improve the stability, operational efficiency, and reliability of the supported system.
  • Create, write, and/or improve software support documentation to facilitate troubleshooting and application support to exceed operational requirements.
  • Manage issue resolution and root cause analysis
  • Overnight on-call rotation to address operational issues as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple complex and critical efforts.
  • Responsible for staying current with vendor offerings, updates, patches, and applying them in a manner that supports the business requirements. 
  • Contributes to project teams by designing, documenting and deploying enterprise vendor software.
  • Support ticket classification, re-prioritization and escalation
  • Work closely with operations, application developers and project managers to develop scalable, maintainable, highly available scheduling environment that meets business objectives
  • Implement changes to QA and Production systems
  • Analyze customer requests and take appropriate action to add, delete or modify production, test and development automation requests
  • Implementation of scheduling workflow automation in QA and Production using Control-M
  • Analyze all Control-M run control calendars to ensure run date accuracy
  • Evaluate and recommend action on automated job scheduling
  • Prepare Control-M flowcharts
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
